On the weekend of 18 and 19 June 2022, "Plateform 10" (Track 10) in Lausanne will celebrate the opening of a new art quarter. This includes the architecturally impressive museum building of the "Photo Elysée" photography museum and the Mudac (Musée Cantonal de Design et d'Arts Appliqués Contemporains - Museum of Design and Applied Contemporary Art) as well as the affiliated "Musée Cantonale des Beaux-Arts Lausanne" (Cantonal Art Museum Lausanne) in a separate new building closer to the railway station.

All three museums are open to the public free of charge at weekends with an exceptional programme of exhibitions and events.

The realisation of this project can be described as unique. It took almost 15 years to realise this ambitious cantonal cultural project with a building investment of around 84 million Swiss francs, which is supported by the Department of Youth and Culture and the Department of Finance and External Relations.

Plateform 10 brings together three cantonal museums on a spacious esplanade, in the heart of Lausanne, a few steps from the SBB railway station. A uniform admission ticket has also been created, which will be valid for visits to the three museums after this weekend. It is available on the occasion of the opening of Plateform 10 at the introductory price of only CHF 15 (instead of CHF 25), is transferable and valid for three months for admission to the three museums.
