137th SBF - Assembly of Delegates - Cardada Cimetta 3 June 2023

Dear colleagues, PF, Swiss delegates and co-presidents, dear guests.

It is a great pleasure for us to be able to hold the 137th SBF Delegates' Meeting in Ticino today.

In 2014, Sabrina Stäubli and the then President Andreana Scanderbeg visited us with great enthusiasm and brought us good news. The SBF website was to be translated into Italian. This gave us a great boost, and even today we receive great support and help from the central association. This makes us feel like a valued part of the central federation.

In 2017, we held the 131st Assembly of Delegates in Ticino in the shadow of the castles of Bellinzona. Today, on the other hand, the 137th Assembly of Delegates is taking place in Cardada Cimetta (above Locarno). The location was not chosen by chance.

We are high up and can admire a beautiful and wide panorama. The SBF Association is in a state of flux: digitalisation, new members, mergers, a world, also professionally, that is changing rapidly. We need an overview from above to understand the changes taking place. That is why we have decided to welcome you here - not in a random place, but in a place that gives us a panoramic view of the future.

When we look out of the window, the mountain still rises in the north. One day, hopefully soon, we will stand on the top of the mountain. We will look back on the way we have travelled and thus see the whole panorama of the Swiss photographic world from the summit.
