He was the most famous policeman and probably the only one to achieve world fame with his pictures of accidents. What was intended as mere documentation for police reports suddenly became works of art, shown in the most renowned galleries and presented in books and countless media. We are talking about Arnold Odermatt, who passed away last Friday, 19 June 2021 after a prolonged illness surrounded by his family at the age of 96.
