photo basel is the first and only photo art fair in Switzerland dedicated exclusively to fine art photography. The fair brings together galleries from all over the world and sees itself as an integrative and hybrid platform that connects all players in the art world (online and IRL).
For its ninth edition, photo basel welcomes 41 galleries from 15 countries. Over 450 photographic positions (artworks) by over 150 artists will be shown. The art fair has also put together a diverse supporting programme for this year's edition. Since 2016, photo basel has been located in the direct neighbourhood of the Art Basel exhibition grounds. photo basel will take place from 11 - 16 June 2024 in the Volkshaus.
