It is with great sadness that we bid farewell to Luca Zanier, who passed away on 20 May 2023 after a serious illness.
His death leaves a painful gap and makes us look back on his impressive life's work with melancholy.
Luca Zanier was a master at opening up new perspectives on familiar, often inaccessible places and making spaces visible and tangible. His precisely composed images of centres of power, energy plants and cityscapes have an abstract charm that is inseparable from the Swiss photography scene.
His works have been exhibited in renowned galleries and museums worldwide and have received numerous awards. He also published several books.
With his death, we lose a talented artist and a warm-hearted person and friend. Luca Zanier will be remembered for his unconditional passion for photography, for his tenacity, perseverance and enthusiasm. His legacy will live on and inspire generations of photographers.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and closest friends at this difficult time.
