In view of the dramatic events in Ukraine, the SBF Switzerland, together with the sections, decided to set an example.
The SBF therefore donated CHF 5,000.00 to Swiss Solidarity on the occasion of the Glückskette. A further CHF 2,000.00 went to the organisation "Médecins Sans Frontiers".
The Swiss section of MSF is not only helping in Ukraine, but also in the Syrian conflict. SBF has donated another CHF 2,000 to the fundraising campaign "Keep Ukraine's Media Going" (see also "The Guardian").
It doesn't matter which country in the world or which conflict - there is a need for a free press everywhere that documents reality and helps to hold those responsible to account.
