Assembly of delegates in Renens. The first SIYU Assembly of Delegates took place on Saturday 1 June in Chavannes-près- Renens near Lausanne.

The various annual reports, presented by the SIYU representatives concerned, were read out or presented (Werner Indlekofer: internet commission, Beat Ernst: legal and copyright commission, Jonas Spengler: insurance/professional pension scheme, André Oldani: annual accounts, Nicolas Prahin: kick-off meetings). Co-President Remo Ubezio mentioned a key point in the Chairman's Report: although the merger has now been completed on paper, there is still a lot of work to be done to finalise the merger at other levels.

The election of the new Executive Committee was eagerly awaited. The terms of office of Barbara Hess and Remo Ubezios ended in December 2023, after which they were appointed as interim members. Three young, proactive candidates applied for this position as a three-member board and stood for election by the delegates: Charlotte Aebischer (ex uspp), Marion Bernet (ex SBF) and Anja Wurm (ex vfg) represent all former associations. As the Articles of Association did not provide for a three-member committee, their wording had to be amended accordingly in advance.

With 31 votes and 1 abstention, Anja, Marion and Charlotte were elected as Co-Presidents - congratulations! There was also applause, hugs and gifts for Barbara Hess and Remo Ubezio, many thanks for their hard work!

The Executive Committee was also newly elected, with Christine Strub (replacement for Marion Bernet, SIYU BEEM), Susanne Martinez Garcia (replacement for Anja Wurm, SIYU ZZCH) and Pierre Lehmann (new: SIYU Romandie) joining the Executive Committee. The budget was not discussed at this DM.  The corresponding vote will be postponed to an extraordinary general meeting.

The official part of the meeting ended at 14.50: the Romandie section and host Nicolas Prahin invited everyone to an aperitif and a cultural programme.
