Léon Émile Loizeau – Artwork Self-portrait
Istanbul-born, Geneva-based experimental photographer éon Émile Loizeau will present an exciting exploration of portraiture and abstraction at Swiss Art Expo 2025 (20 to 24 August 2025) in Zurich. With his unconventional and personal visual language, Loizeau pushes the boundaries of photographic art.
Loizeau has worked intensively with visual media on two continents. He studied cinematography, image processing and advanced photography theory at renowned institutions in Switzerland, Istanbul and Barcelona. His commitment to research and experimentation is reflected in his work, which is shaped by a diverse educational background ranging from the Bern School of Design to the Ágora Experimental School.
Loizeau's photographic universe is based on disruption and alienation. His art questions norms, embraces imperfection and evokes memories and vulnerability through texture, shadow and reduction. Loizeau brings a personal, analogue spirit to the contemporary scene.
