On 12 September, pool collective and the Photoforum in Bern presented an exciting screening event at Prozess Kultur & Bar. Fifteen artists presented their work in three-minute videos over the course of 45 minutes.
All the video work was designed for this event. The task was challenging. It challenged the artists to develop new narratives for their photographic works. The aim was to find a balance between visual and acoustic elements and to utilise the advantages of the video medium to present works that are normally exhibited in printed form.
The screening, curated by pool collective and Amelie Rose Schüle, director of the Photoforum, attracted a diverse audience interested in experiencing photography in an innovative format. The drinks reception after the screening was lively and there was a lively exchange of ideas. The screening, which was attended by around 50 people, showcased the artists' works, but also strengthened the connection between the art scene and the public and made a valuable contribution to the cultural scene in Bern.
