The first General Assembly - from vfg to SIYU. With around 50 members in attendance, the first AGM of the Zurich - Central Switzerland section (and more recently the Eastern Switzerland section as well) held under the SIYU name was very well attended. We met at the Photobastei in Zurich, which had already served as the ‘headquarters’ for the vfg's meetings. Romano Zerbini began by introducing the Photobastei.
Anja Wurm then led through the majority of the event and took the opportunity - together with Marion Bernet (SIYU BE-Mittelland) and Charlotte Aeb (SIYU Romandie) - to present her candidature for the new presidency. André Oldani took over the numerical part, such as the merger balance sheets and the new budget. The points were discussed and the actions of the Board of Directors were approved, albeit not without discussion, but in good agreement. Ingo Rast (Eastern Switzerland) replaced Alexander Sauer, who was stepping down. The entire Board was confirmed. Further information and input came from the departments bildersoirées (Philippe Wiget), pool collective (Jonathan Liechti) and SIYU AWARD (Susanne Martinez Garcia). Finally, three new honorary members were unanimously appointed: Nina Mann, Gian Vaitl and Alexander Sauer. All three have - as vfg or SBF members - achieved a great deal over the years, which the SIYU is now honouring in this way. Many thanks for your commitment, Nina, Gian and Alexander - and congratulations! We rounded off the evening with a fantastic (veggie) buffet from Samses Zurich.
