What do the Confederation's new, strengthened measures mean for us?

The Federal Council has tightened the national measures as of Monday, 18 January. Among other things, masks are now compulsory in indoor workplaces and in vehicles as soon as more than one person is present.

We asked SECO what these measures mean for portrait photography and received the following positive answer:

"The obligation to wear a mask indoors now applies to all employees even if the distance can be maintained. In this case, however, we are dealing with a service, i.e. a relationship between client and client. This means that portrait photography is possible on the condition that the 1.5 m distance can be maintained. If the distance cannot be maintained and a person cannot wear a mask, further measures must be taken, such as the make-up artist wearing an FFP2 mask."

Photo studios are therefore not affected by the current closures.
We wish you good business!
